Can the application show Ads?

Yes, in 2 different ways:

1. The header and footer files you upload in the application's system configuration settings can include ad code (i.e. from Google Adsense, etc.).

2. If you want to put ads in the body of the pages you can modify the source code to include the ad code.

Can I charge users for setting up an account or to play a game?

At this time the application does not have a method to charge users for setting up an account or for playing a game. However, admins can turn off the ability for users to register for an account on the system. So the admin can add the users which they want to have account on the system manually.

Do I have to purchase a site license each year?

No, you do not need to purchase a site license each year. A site license for the software does not expire. Once you purchase the site license you will have access to the application and will not need to purchase another site license (unless you install it on an additional machine, as the site license is just for 1 machine). With the site license you get 1 year of tech support and code updates. After that 1 year, you can purchase a support contract on an annual basis to get tech support and code updates.

As well, once you purchase a site license you will have access to the source code and be able to modify it the way you like. However, you will not be able to resell the application at any time.

Do I have to purchase Data Updates?

No, you do not have to purchase Data Updates. You can manually enter in the players, tournaments, and their results rather than getting the data updates from us. The Data Updates service is just provided to help you with data entry if you do not want to do it manually.
